Chosen as the best city in the world for Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2017, Bordeaux impresses more and more tourists eager to live the gastronomic experience offered by the city's restaurants, visit the famous Cité du Vin and enjoy the historic center of Bordeaux, which has been rehabilitated and renovated.
Between June 1 and August 31, Blue Air made no less than 574 charter flights to the Greek islands of Zakynthos, Corfu, Crete, Lefkada and Santorini (the most visited island in Greece). Other tourists chose Turkey and opted for the bohemian atmosphere and beaches of Bodrum, went to Antalya, or to Alanya, a city located 140 km east of Antalya. Hurghada, a former fishing village on the shores of the Red Sea in Egypt, was another destination in the top of Romanians' preferences.

However, not all Blue Air passengers traveled to the beaches of Europe, Turkey or Egypt. While part of the 30 fleet of 737 Boats transported passengers to seafront destinations, other aircraft flew to the Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
“We prepared for an intense summer, and our expectations were confirmed. We thank the 1,5 millions of passengers who chose to fly, and this summer, aboard Blue Air aircraft. We are pleased that our routes have met the expectations of passengers. The most popular destinations were the summer holidays, but we also enjoyed the success of flights to Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen or Stockholm.
We are seeing an increasing interest of Romanians for the Nordic countries, and they are finding that they are vacation options for all budgets. And this summer, as with any Blue Air flight day, the priority of the entire team was to provide passengers with a safe trip and a beautiful flying experience ”, said Tudor Constantinescu, Commercial Director of Blue Air.
