Also yesterday, Wizz Air announced the increase in transport capacity by adding a new aircraft to the Bucharest base. Starting with November 2016, the capital of Romania will have 9 flying equipment.

The new aircraft will serve from the most recent autumn exotic route to Tenerife and will help increase the frequencies of already existing routes to popular destinations. Tickets for the new route are already on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com at prices starting from 229 RON.

By assigning a new aircraft, Wizz Air announces an additional investment of 100 million at its base in Bucharest, and the total number of employees in Romania is to exceed 600.

Today we deliver the first A321 device, the eighth one based in Bucharest. It is the most performing single-aisle aircraft of the moment and most economically efficient, ensuring lower operating costs. The new aircraft to be allocated to the Bucharest base and to be delivered in December this year will lead to 3,6 million available seats in 2017, which means an annual increase of 24% and reflects our commitment to the market in Romania and the Bucharest base. We are proud to remain the largest contributor to the development of Romanian aviation and permanently attentive to the needs of our clients.

Until last year, Wizz Air operated a fleet of Airbus A320-type aircraft, which are configured in a single class and can carry up to 180 passengers.

But from 2015, Wizz Air has begun receiving aircraft of the type Airbus A321. The new aircraft are part of the Airbus A320 family of aircraft, but have increased passenger capacity up to 230.
