On 9 March 2018, Airbus presented such an estimative study outlining the need for new aircraft for the Indian market. Specifically, Indian airlines will need 1750 new aircraft over the next 20 years.

Estimates show a need for 1 320 for new single-aisle aircraft and 430 for widebody aircraft, all valued at 255 billion. Some of the aircraft will replace the existing commercial service aircraft, others will contribute to fleet growth.

The first 10 airlines in India are: Air India; Jet Airways; IndoGo; Air India Express; SpiceJet; GoAir; AirAsia India; Vistara; Alliance Air; TruJet.

Until 2036, Indians will fly 4 times more than today. As a result, it is estimated that air traffic on the Indian market will increase by 8,1% per year over the next 20 years, almost twice as much as the world average of 4,4%.

It is estimated that an Airbus aircraft will be delivered to India every week for the next 10 years. And let's not forget the contribution of India to the construction of Airbus aircraft through engineers, but also from parts from this country.
