There are left a few days until Christmas. For us, it is the most anticipated holiday of the year. We associate Christmas with Santa Claus and the gifts, with the fir tree, with the joy and light from the souls of the people, with the custom of caroling, but also with the snow.
2016 Christmas
You knew that the habit of decorating the fir Does it have its origins in the Germanic peoples? After the First World War, the tradition spread rapidly in Europe and then throughout the world. From the fir tree, garlands, candy trees (the ones I ate pretty fast) and colored globules are missing.
Christmas marks the Birth of the Lord, so a moment of joy for all of us. It is a Christian holiday celebrated on 25 December (in the Gregorian calendar) or 7 January (in the Julian calendar).
This holiday is worth celebrating in a place of story, with family and friends. Many times, we have chosen to spend Christmas at home, preparing traditional dishes and decorating the fir tree. But there were times when I chose the mountain. Obviously, there are also people who are passionate about the sea, the hot areas. It seems strange, but there are also regions where Christmas is celebrated in a bathing suit :).
We know that there are people who work very hard until Christmas Eve, and they have no time to cook the Christmas meal. Maybe they don't want to bother at home and choose to go somewhere in the mountains, to a guesthouse.

There are lights and garlands, and there are traditional decorations on the tables. This year will be even more beautiful because they repaired the fireplace in the living room :). We can't wait to sit by a cup of mulled wine, next to the Christmas tree and warm up by the fireplace.
