The number of cases of COVID-19 infection is declining in Europe, which has led most European Union / European Economic Area countries to abandon COVID-19 entry rules. In addition, the summer season is just beginning, and tourism needs these travel relaxations.
No less than 20 countries in the European Union / European Economic Area have waived the COVID-19 entry rules: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
All travelers, regardless of country of origin, can travel to the above-mentioned countries without COVID-19 rules and restrictions. You no longer need to present a COVID-19 digital certificate - vaccination, testing or recovery. At the same time, they no longer have to present the PLF. All they have to do now is follow other travel rules, such as presenting a valid passport or visa, if such a requirement applies to them.
Other European countries continue to impose certain COVID-19 entry rules. These countries include Estonia, France, Germany and the Netherlands. It should be noted that Spain has dropped EU rules for EU travel, but retains COVID-19 measures for those wishing to travel from third countries.
On the other hand, with regard to internal restrictions on COVID-19, all countries have already abandoned most measures. Travelers are no longer required to wear a face mask or present one of the COVID-19 digital permits when accessing various public places and events.
