Bucharest National Airports Company recorded, during the first six months of the 2016 year, record traffic at the capital's airports. Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest and Bucharest-Baneasa International Airport Aurel Vlaicu have recorded air traffic NO passengers and 56.584 aircraft movements (landings and take-offs). In total, 4.911.721 passenger and 51.149 aircraft movements were registered at Henri Coanda Airport.
Record passenger traffic through the airports of the Capital in S1
The number of passengers who passed the airports of Bucharest in the first semester of 2016 registered a significant increase, of 16,5%, compared to the same period of last year. Thus, the chances of reaching the threshold of 10 million passengers throughout the year 2016 increase.
The evolution of the number of passengers at the two airports of the National Company Bucharest Airports significantly outweighs the general trend registered at European level. At the airports of the Capital, there was also an increase in the number of aircraft movements, exceeding in this regard the European trend. Thus, in the first six months of the 2016 year, the number of aircraft movements at the airports in Bucharest increased by 8,6% compared to the same period last year.
In the first six months of the year, on the Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport, 37 was operated by airlines, which transported passengers to 92 from destinations.
