Ryanair, Europe's favorite airline today, 14 July, announced a record of reservations in advance for its winter schedule 2015, departing from Bucharest, for the 7 routes on which the company operates. These also include the 3 new Milan, Rome and Bologna routes launched this spring. Also, it was marked to reach the 500.000 threshold of passengers transported from Bucharest Airport in just 16 months.
Cristina Oglan was the passenger with Ryanair's 500.000 number, from Bucharest. Mrs Oglan was traveling with her husband to London, departing from Otopeni Airport (OTP), with Ryanair.
In Bucharest, on the occasion of 500.000 traveler, Denis Barabaș, Ryanair, said:
"Ryanair is pleased to announce a record of advance bookings for flights operated by Henry Coanda International Airport, which also includes the three new routes to Milan, Rome and Bologna (7 in total), which will transport 700.000 customers pa and will support 700 jobs at Bucharest Airport.
Ryanair is pleased to mark the celebration of the passenger with the 500.000 number who traveled on the Bucharest - London Stansted route. It is an important number in terms of traffic especially since we only operate for 16 months at Otopeni Airport. Since April 2014, since we started operating at Bucharest Airport, we have seen a steady increase in traffic on our routes, but also a growing demand from customers for our services.
