70 years of flights between Paris and Reunion with Air France

On 13 February 2015, Air France celebrated 70 years of flights between Paris and Reunion. The route was inaugurated in 1945, and flights between Paris-Orly and Saint-Denis were operated by Lockheed 60 aircraft. One flight lasted 5 days and had 14 stops.

After 70 for years, flights between Paris-Orly and St Denis became operational with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft equipped in 3 classes and with the capacity of 468 seats, carrying approximately 400 000 passengers per year. The frequency of flights to 11 per week also increased. Every day, 168 of Air France employees and 198 of Servair employees, Reunion work together and do their best to provide our customers with quality service.

Air France is a key player in the Reunion economy, contributing to the economic development of the island. The company thus promotes the development of tourism, in particular due to the strong partnership with IRT (Reunion Island Tourism) and the code-share agreement with Air Austral.
