Some time ago, KLM decided to phase out Boeing 747-400 aircraft for commercial reasons. Even at this moment, the Boeing 747-400 (PH-BFB) KLM is preparing to take off for the last time on a commercial flight.

The oldest Boeing 747-400 in the KLM fleet, the Boeing 747-400 (PH-BFB), will be retired from commercial service. He is currently in Los Angeles and is preparing for the return flight KL602, the last in its history.

After being withdrawn from commercial service, this Boeing 747-400 (PH-BFB) will be displayed in front of the Corendon Village Hotel, overlooking Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam.

The transfer of the aircraft will be made by road, and all expenses will be borne by Corendon. This spectacular move will take place in February 2019. We return with information!

The Boeing 747-400 (PH-BFB) is almost 30 years old. It was delivered to KLM in June 1989. On 1 July 1989, the aircraft was named "Bangkok / City of Bangkok" in the presence of over 200 persons. The baptism was performed by 9 Thai monks from a 100 year-old monastery in Laksi District, Bangkok.

To date, the Boeing 747-400 (PH-BFB) has recorded over 134 flight hours in over 000 cycles (landings and takeoffs). After November 36, KLM will have 000 Queen of the Skies 26-11 aircraft in its fleet. Gradually, KLM will give them up by the end of 747, replacing them with the new Boeing 400 and 2021 aircraft.
