American Airlines is expanding to Europe in S19, not to Romania
For the summer of 2019, American Airlines has announced the launch of 9 new routes to destinations in Europe. At the same time, other routes will be canceled or suspended, upon request and offer.
The big airlines have come to plan their operations well in advance. On August 21, American Airlines announced expansion plans in Europe for the summer season 2019. Thus, last summer, 9 new routes will be inaugurated between the United States and Europe. Instead, other existing routes will suffer. There will be canceled routes, others will be suspended, after check-in and offer.
But let's get back to the new routes. American Airlines will fly from Philadelphia to Berlin (TXL), Bologna (BLQ) and Dubrovnik (DBV). The routes will be seasonal, operated between June and September 2019. They will join the seasonal route Philadelphia - Edinburgh (EDI).
American Airlines is expanding to Europe
Also from the 2019 summer season, American will fly on the routes Charlotte - Munich (MUC); Chicago - Athens (ATH); Dallas - Dublin (DUB); Dallas - Munich (MUC) and Phoenix - London (LHR). It should be mentioned that the "Atlantic Joint Business" partner Finnair will inaugurate the route Helsinki (HEL) - Los Angeles (LAX).
In the summer season 2019 will also return on the seasonal routes, which were launched in 2018, from Philadelphia to Budapest (BUD) and Prague (PRG), as well as on the routes Chicago - Venice (VCE) and Dallas - Keflavik (KEF).

At the same time, American Airlines will cancel the route Philadelphia - Munchen, which is operated daily with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, a route launched in 1996. Other seasonal routes, which will no longer be found on the American Airlines network:
- Chicago O'Hare - Manchester - currently 1 daily flight with 787-8 Dreamliner (launched in April 1986);
- New York JFK - Dublin - currently 1 daily flight with 757-200 (launched in June 2013);
- New York JFK - Edinburgh - currently 1 daily flight with 757-200 (launched in June 2015);
- Philadelphia - Frankfurt - currently 1 daily flight with A330-200 (launched in June 1995);
- Philadelphia - Glasgow - currently 1 daily flight with 757-200 (launched in June 2016).
Unfortunately, Romania is not yet in the attention of US carriers.
