After a controversial, difficult and stressful year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the US authorities mentioned that people vaccinated according to the manufacturer's recommendations no longer transmit the new coronavirus. In other words, people vaccinated with both doses in the case of Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna or with one dose in the case of Johnson & Johnson no longer contagious, but it is not excluded to become infected.

In this context, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reviewed restrictive measures to allow people vaccinated against COVID-19 to travel to the United States and abroad, as long as they comply with protective measures, such as wearing a mask. Those who want to travel internally to the USA are no longer required to self-quarantine or take a COVID-19 test before or after the trip. Note that each US state applies a number of restrictive measures for travel.

"Although we believe that fully vaccinated people can travel at low risk to themselves, the CDC does not recommend travel at this time because of the growing number of new cases," the agency's director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, told a conference.

The CDC also recommends that those who have traveled internationally be tested three to five days after the trip. There seem to be contradictory statements, but the CDC also clarifies this, saying that those who are vaccinated are less prone to infections, but nothing is 100% certain. And until the percentage of those immunized increases, all prevention and protection measures must be observed.

The United States wants to reopen domestic and international borders for essential travel and tourism. The economy is down as it is in every country in the world. The good news comes with shyness and people seem to be impatient, but even the US authorities say that everything should be done with caution.
