Amsterdam and Athens are among the top destinations of IAII

Over 350 of specialists from the IT & Outsourcing community responded to the survey conducted, in the last week of April 2017, by PINmagazine.ro.

Thus, in the top 5 destinations for business travel are Amsterdam (with over 30% of preferences), Frankfurt, Dublin, Copenhagen and Warsaw. The result was predictable if we take in the five companies with Dutch capital, which have a total of about 1.000 employees in the regional IT & Outsourcing industry.

According to the same survey, destinations were chosen such as: Chisinau (strange choice considering that Iași is very close to Chisinau), Prague, Belgrade, Istanbul and Kiev.

Among the holiday destinations, were chosen: Athens (with almost 20% of preferences), Lisbon, Dubai, Budapest and Malaga. In this regard, preferences were more varied, with special destinations being mentioned: Stockholm, Basel, Malta, St. Petersburg and Nice.

Demographically, 59% of the respondents are between 25-35 years, 85% are employed in ITO companies (the rest being freelancers or students), and 65% are men.

As for Iasi International Airport, I have kept you updated with all the developments of the last years. For 2017, traffic is estimated to be 1.2 million passengers, but without taking into account new routes. Last year, the number of travelers to / from Iasi was 882.600, the increase being about 132% compared to the figure recorded in 2015.
