Austrian Airlines has resumed flights to the United States: New York, Chicago and Washington

Today, 1 July 2020, Austrian Airlines resumed flights to New York, Chicago and Washington. After a break of 100 days, Austrian Airlines returns on long-haul flights.

The first long-haul flight was operated by the Boeing 767-300ER (OE-LAX) aircraft. The aircraft took off from Vienna around 10:30, on OS89 flight, Landed at Newark and New Jersey around 13:45 (local time).

There were 64 passengers on board, which means a load of 30%. Maybe because you still can't fly to the United States for tourism purposes. Instead, the return flight is 100% booked.

The other 2 flights were OS65 - Chicago and OS93 - Washington. All these destinations will be served three times a week, each. The flights will be operated with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

If you want to return from the USA to Romania, you can use Austrian Airlines flights, via Vienna. From June 18, Austrian Airlines resumed flights from Bucharest to Vienna.
