Blue Air decided to withdraw from the commercial service one of the oldest aircraft in the fleet. The plane could still fly, but there comes a time when economic policy dictates, and its place will be taken by a younger and more sprinty plane. Blue Air has become the largest airline in Romania, with a fleet of over 25 of Boeing 737 family aircraft.

Charlie turned 30 years old and flew in the fleets of several airlines. He started flying on 3 August 1986. In August 2005, it arrived in the Blue Air fleet, being the second aircraft with which the Romanian low-cost operator began its ascent on the EUROPE market.
