Boeing 787 Dreamliner British Airways arrives in London (video)

On 27 June 2013, British Airways took possession of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The aircraft took off from Paine Field, Everett, Washington on 26 June, and landed at London's Heathrow Airport on 27 June at 12: 10.

The plane was received by Willie Walsh, chief executive officer - International Airlines Group (IAG). With this delivery, a new tab was written in the history of British Airways. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is made of lightweight composite materials and is equipped with the latest technologies, including high-performance Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines and a very good fuel consumption ratio. This is the first medium-sized aircraft that can be used on long and very long routes.

787 British Airways can carry up to 214 passengers and is configured with 35 seats at Club World, 25 at World Traveler Plus and 154 seats at World Traveler.

British Airways has a fleet of 260 aircraft, of which 140 are Boeing. It owns the largest fleet of Boeing 747-400, 52 in number. The 52 of 777 planes (46 777-200ER and 6 777-300ER) are not to be neglected either. Annually, it operates over 300 000 flights to 177 destinations.
