Boeing delivered the 8000 aircraft from the Boeing 737 family
On April 16, Boeing delivered of the 8000 aircraft of the Boeing 737 family, a Boeing 737-900ER (Extended Range) Next Generation. It arrived in the fleet United Airlines and is easy to spot, having an anniversary livery.
In aviation history, the Boeing 737 is the first model to exceed the 8000 threshold of units delivered. In command are still 3700 units, including 1934 aircraft for the new 737 MAX.
United was the first airline to take possession of the first Boeing 737-200 in 1965. Since then, 550 has received 737 aircraft and operated all Boeing 737 family models.
During the two years of activity, Airlines Travel kept you up to date with the evolution of the airlines, but also with the production of airplanes. I announced when Boeing delivered: of the 7000 aircraft of the 737 family (Flydubai); 7370 aircraft 737 (Lion Air); of the 7500 aircraft of the 737 family (Malindo Air).
Below are pictures of airplanes that have reached historic thresholds:
