Budapest Airport continues to rebuild its solid route network. The Hungarian airport welcomed the resumption of services to London Heathrow. Thus, British Airways returns today to the airport in Budapest, relaunching the connections between the two capitals.

Initially offering a service three times a week, the UK flag carrier will increase the number of flights to four a week starting in mid-September, a significant boost for the coming winter season.

The return of British Airways also offers connections to many long-haul flights as restrictions relax and countries reopen.

Balázs Bogáts, Head of Development at Budapest Airport said that "The UK has been the largest market in Budapest for years. Most tourists came from London, so it's great to see British Airways return to our airport, which is another sign of the country's recovery. "

Serving over half a million passengers last month - a robust 77% increase compared to July 2019 - Budapest is witnessing a positive trend, with the revival of many long-distance routes and the restrictions on success imposed in Hungary during the pandemic.

From the first week of September, and Ural Airlines will be back at Budapest Airport with an inaugural connection to Ekaterinburg Koltsovo, in addition to the reopening of connections with Zhukovsky, southeast of downtown Moscow.
