British Airways has introduced the new in-flight digital control platform, offering - those traveling in Euro Traveler - the option to order extra snacks and drinks during the flight, directly at their place. The new flight control system will complete the airline's current offer "Buy before you fly", where customers are encouraged to order from the airline's full Speedbird Café menu, including items from the Tom Kerridge range, before the trip.

The new digital ordering system means that those who want to add new products to an existing pre-order or for those who did not place an order before the trip, can do so at any time during the flight. The proposal will be available - initially - from 19 July, on selected routes, before officially launching on eligible routes.

The introduction of online orders follows the successful launch of "Your Menu" in the lounges at London Heathrow Airport by British Airways, the new digital mass service that requires only a QR code scan to allow orders to be delivered to each individual customer. Safety is at the heart of this British Airways proposal, and the airline continues to implement a number of ground and air protection measures to keep customers and crew safe.
