Starting with July 2017, after 7 years, LOT Polish Airlines the route will reopen Krakow - Chicago. The flights will be operated by one of the 2 Boeing 787 aircraft, which will arrive next year in the Polish carrier fleet.

According to statements made by LOT officials, on the route Krakow - Chicago a weekly flight will be operated throughout the year, which will complement the daily flights operated on the route Warsaw - Chicago.

Statistics show that over 90 000 of passengers from the Krakow area travel from / to Chicago via Warsaw. The direct flight will ease their trip, the news being received very well by the passengers from the south of Poland, the region of Silesia and Slovakia.

The Krakow - Chicago route will be the 6th North American route operated by LOT Polish Airlines. Currently, the Polish operator flies from Warsaw to Chicago, Toronto and New York JFK, and from April 2017 will operate flights to Newark and Los Angeles.

Currently, LOT owns 6 aircraft NOTHING-NOTHING Dreamliner, which are dedicated to long-haul flights. And from 2017 the number will increase to 8 planes in this family.
