Croatia reports over 10.3 million tourists so far in 2022!

In the first six months of 2022, Croatia received 10,3 million tourists who generated 54,3 million overnight stays, which is a 60% increase in arrivals and 46% more overnight stays than in the same period of the year 2021.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Tourism of Croatia, at the same time, foreign tourists generated 47,8 million overnight stays, while domestic tourists generated 6,6 million overnight stays.

"Most tourist overnight stays were made in Istria (15,8 million), Split-Dalmatia region (9,9 million) and Primorje-Gorski Kotar region (9,5 million). Followed by Zadar (7,7 million nights), Dubrovnik-Neretva (4,1 million) and Šibenik-Knin (3,4 million)” , the release states.

In terms of the largest tourist markets, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded by foreign guests from Germany with 11,4 million, Slovenia with 6 million, Austria with 4,4 million, Poland with 3,5 million, the Czech Republic with 3,5 million, Slovakia with 1,9 million and the United Kingdom with 1,9 million.
