While Europeans are "terrified" by the new COVID-19 variant, known as Omicron, other countries around the world are announcing that they will relax the travel conditions. Cuba is one of the few countries in the world that has announced that it will drop all travel restrictions for tourists from Ukraine, Poland, Russia and Canada, but probably for other countries in the near future.

The decision was made by the Cuban Ministry of Health on January 5, coming into force recently. In general, the new rules now apply to tourists traveling through tour operators.

The official explanation of the Cuban Ministry of Health is as follows: "The improvement of the epidemiological situation in Cuba and the high percentage of vaccinations made us make this decision." Vaccination tests and certificates are also no longer required for hotel check-in.

The only requirement is to fill in the D'Viajeros electronic form. And in this case, relaxation is guaranteed. Previously, tourists had to send it at least 12 hours before the trip. At this time, tourists are allowed to fill out a questionnaire upon arrival, and for this, tourists will be offered free wireless internet for 30 minutes at the airport, which, given the Cuban internet, is a significant bonus.
