Denmark imposes tougher restrictions on unvaccinated travelers from Romania

Uruguay and Romania have been removed from Denmark's list of epidemiologically safe countries, Danish authorities said. According to a press release issued by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, those arriving from these countries must be subject to stricter requirements.

The Canary Islands, Spain, and Campania, Italy, have been moved to the green list. "The Canary Islands go from the yellow list to the green list. The same is true for the Campania region of Italy. This means that Danes - regardless of vaccination status - can travel on holiday to the two regions without having to be tested on their return to Denmark.

Travelers arriving in Denmark from one of the countries on the green list must not take into account any restrictions if they have been inoculated against COVID-19 with one of the vaccines authorized for use in Denmark or if they have previously been infected with the virus.

Unvaccinated people should get tested for COVID-19 after arriving in Denmark.

Also, those arriving from one of the countries on the yellow list are also free of restrictions on entry into Danish territory if they have been inoculated with a vaccine against COVID-19 or if they have recently been infected with the virus.

Moreover, European countries placed on dark orange list of Denmark are:

  • Iceland
  • Norway
  • Finland
  • UK
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Belarus
  • Slovakia

Furthermore, unvaccinated people traveling from one of the countries on the orange list must undergo a second test after entering the territory of Denmark and remain self-isolated for ten days.

The countries that are on the green list are:

  • Czech
  • Poland
  • Hungary
  • Schleswig-Holstein region, Germany
  • Azores, Portugal
  • Spania
  • the regions of Lombardy, Piedmont, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, in Italy

According to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, 89.6% of the Danish population received at least one dose of a vaccine against COVID-19, while 87.6% of the population was fully vaccinated, the national average being higher than the EU average. / SEE.
