Emirates will expand operations in Iraq. From August 12, Emirates will open the route Dubai - Erbil, this being the 3 in Iraq, after Basra and Baghdad.

Initially, the route will be honored 4 times a week, followed by 1 September to reach a daily flight. Emirates will use the aircraft Airbus A340-300 configured in 3 classes, offering 267 seating capacity and 13 tons cargo capacity.

Emirates flight EK949 will leave Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 04: 30 and arrive at Erbil International Airport at 06: 30. Return flight EK950 will leave Erbil at 08: 00 and arrive in Dubai at 11: 40.

Emirates currently operates one daily flight to Baghdad and four weekly flights to Basra. Erbil will be the 11-a route opened by Emirates in the 2012. This year, the airline began flying to Dublin, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Dallas Fort Worth, Seattle, Lusaka, Harare and Ho Chi Minh City. The flights to Barcelona, ​​Lisbon and Washington will join the Emirates network from July 3, July 09 and September 12.
