Travelers from all over the world will be able to enter Greece without restrictions from 2 May 2022. Greek authorities have decided to drop COVID-19 restrictions.

The decision to lift the entry rules was announced by Greek Health Minister Thanos Plevris. He said that from May 2, no entry rules will apply to arriving travelers, regardless of country.

According to the minister, all travelers, regardless of their country of origin, will be exempted from the obligation to present a valid certificate of vaccination, recovery or testing on arrival. In addition, it was noted that internal restrictions on COVID-19 will also be removed. This means that tourists will be allowed to enter bars, cafes, restaurants and participate in other events without being required to have COVID-19 proof.

Greece's decision to lift the entry rules has been made because the summer season is near. However, it was noted that entry restrictions could be reintroduced by the end of September.

In addition to the above, Greece has already removed the requirement to complete the passenger location form. From 15 March, all travelers, regardless of their country of origin, are allowed to enter Greece even if they do not have this form.
