India's Ministry of Health has tightened entry rules. As of January 11, all foreigners traveling to India, regardless of vaccination status, will be sent into solitary confinement. This was reported by the Times of India portal with reference to the agency's order.

Now tourists have to spend a week at the hotel. Hotel infrastructure may be used, but passengers are not allowed to leave their accommodation. On the 8th day you have to do the PCR test and upload its results on a special Air Suvidha portal.

If the tourist has a negative result, he will be able to continue his vacation without restrictions, the infected ones will be retested and treated in the isolation section according to the codes in force.

In addition, some foreigners arriving in India are waiting for the mandatory paid test at the airport. Local services will choose the passengers who will have to pass the PCR test. Children under the age of 5 are exempt from the procedure.

It should be noted that in Goa, due to the increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 infection, the night lockdown was established. Tourists are not allowed to leave the hotel between 23:00 and 6:00. Authorities have not yet specified how long the restriction will be imposed.
