International Civil Aviation Day was celebrated on 7 December

Bucharest National Airports Company (CNAB) celebrated yesterday, 7 December 2012, International Civil Aviation Day. This year, the theme approved by the International Civil Aviation Organization for 7 December is "Aviation: your reliable connection to the world".

The President of the Council ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), Roberto Kobeh González, shows that, until 2030, the number of flights and passengers will double, from 30 millions of flights carrying approximately 2,7 billion passengers annually, to 60 millions of flights per year with the potential to carry up to to 6 billion passengers.

ICAO President urges authorities to develop and modernize airports around the world, in order to cope with the increase in air and passenger traffic.

Bucharest National Airports Company said that everything is in full agreement with the guidelines issued by ICAO. Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport will shortly be completing the 3rd phase of Development and Modernization, and Aurel Vlaicu Băneasa International Airport is in the process of being transformed and modernized.

For the National Airports Company Bucharest, yesterday was not just a celebration, but a celebration of the professionals working in the two airports of the Capital, because of which CNAB is currently recognized as an elite company of Romanian civil aviation.
