The Israeli Ministry of Health has stated that testing for Ben Gurion will no longer be required from May 20. As an argument for making this decision, the ministry reported a drop in the number of daily infections, from more than 6.000 to less than 2.000 in the last month.

Moreover, starting Tuesday, May 10, 2022, foreigners can opt for a rapid antigen test within 24 hours before leaving for Israel or a PCR test 72 hours before the trip.

Until now, at Ben Gurion Airport, all passengers entering the country, whether Israeli or foreign, are directed to PCR test centers and will remain in solitary confinement at the hotel until the result of the PCR test is received.
