Jordan cancels PCR tests for tourists

As of March 1, 2022, foreign tourists entering the territory of Jordan are no longer required to take a negative coronavirus test or undergo another PCR test upon arrival at airports and other points of entry.

Jordanian authorities have said they intend to reduce restrictions on foreign travel in order to boost tourism. However, if tourists experience symptoms of coronavirus, they will still need to sign a commitment to be tested and consent to self-isolation if they become infected with COVID-19.

"We hope to reduce restrictions and restore tourism in Jordan. It will be easier for international travelers when planning their trips to JordanSaid Abed Al-Razzak Arabiyat, director general of the Jordanian Tourism Council.

Before entering Jordan, passengers must enter the platform www.gateway2jordan.gov.jo, complete the requested information and obtain the QR code, which must be provided in the hotel, restaurant and public places in Jordan.
