Travelers from Romania and Bulgaria will enter Greece only with a negative coronavirus test. This decision will enter into force on July 28, according to a decision of the General Secretariat for Civil Protection. It also applies to those traveling by plane.

COVID-19 negative PCR test for all trips

The announcement by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection reads as follows:Based on the analysis of epidemiological data, it was decided that those entering Greece, including by air, from Bulgaria and Romania, from Tuesday 28 July to 4 August, would be required to submit a negative test result (PCR) for COVID-19. This must be done up to 72 hours before their arrival in Greece.

Greek citizens, residence permit holders and those traveling for essential reasons are excluded. At the same time, the obligation to complete the Passenger Location Form (PLF) at least 24 hours before arrival in Greece remains in force.

The Government, in cooperation with the competent services, constantly analyzes and evaluates the data so that the opening to foreign visitors can be done safely and without affecting public health.".
