On 20 February 2014, Airbus and Kuwait Airways, the national airline of Kuwait, has made a commitment to 25 aircraft: 10 units A350-900 and 15 units in the A320neo family. The order is part of Kuwait Airways' strategy to upgrade the fleet. Currently, the air carrier in Kuwait operates a mixed fleet of: 3 A320 aircraft, 3 A310 aircraft, 5 A300 aircraft and 4 A340 aircraft.

The A320neo aircraft will come equipped with more efficient engines, but also with "Sharklet", the terminations of the airplanes that lead to a decrease in fuel consumption. The manufacturer promises to be the fastest aircraft in its category.

The Airbus A350 XWB (Xtra Wide-Body) is an aircraft dedicated to medium and long-haul flights, which will provide increased passenger comfort as well as low fuel consumption. Airbus promises that the A350 will be 25% more efficient compared to other aircraft in its class.
