Heathrow International Airport opens a dedicated terminal for passengers arriving from the countries on the COVID-19 red list. From today, December 1, 2021, Terminal 4 will act as a separate arrival facility, keeping passengers arriving from the red zone away from passengers at all other airport terminals.

Thus, Terminal 4 will benefit from better ventilation in transit and arrival halls, facilities for the protection of passengers and employees, sanitation by robots As the UK faces additional measures, intended to be temporary, Heathrow provides passengers that they stay safe and that they can fly with confidence in the coming weeks.

Passengers flying to Heathrow will be able to use PCR testing facilities either at or near the airport.

Those who choose to be tested at the airport should make a reservation in advance and enjoy a service that will shorten the time needed for self-isolation, an ideal measure for business travel and for those who gather with friends and family only for for a short time.

Heathrow Chief Operating Officer Emma Gilthorpe said: “We support measures that protect public health and prevent the spread of Covid-19. The rapid introduction of restrictions on international travel will, however, be another significant blow to British exporters and those wishing to visit England. Heathrow maintains the highest levels of security measures against Covid-19. Our passengers, colleagues and partners know that Heathrow is a safe place to travel. ”
