Wizz Air today announced the launch of the operational base at Chisinau International Airport, with a new aircraft Airbus A320, and the addition of two new routes to Europe, from March 2017. Wizz Air will launch two flights, operated twice a week, to Berlin Schönefeld and Barcelona. With these new destinations, the Wizz Air network in Moldova reaches seven routes to four countries. Prices start at 29,99 EUR.

WIZZ started operating from Chisinau in September, offering more accessible air transport opportunities. With over 350.000 places for sale in 2017, up 41% compared to the current year, Chisinau becomes 26-based Wizz Air, and Moldova becomes 14-based WIZZ country.

The new base in Chisinau represents an investment of 98 million dollars (about as much as an Airbus A320 costs) from Wizz Air, and the company will hire 36 people from Chisinau, who will act as crew for the new aircraft. The selection of future crew members has already begun, and the company will organize special recruiting days for those interested in a career in height.

The WIZZ Open Days event will be held on 25 and 26 October 2016 from 9: 00, at the Jumbo Hotel (Decebal Boulevard 23 / 4), while Open Day Pilot is scheduled for 29 October, from 9: 00, in the same room.

All applicants are requested to be punctual and bring a CV in English, 2 photos (front and profile) and any relevant references. More details about the Cabin Crew profession and opportunities can be obtained on the Wizz website.

At the same time, the new base will contribute to the local economy, facilitating indirect jobs at the airport, in transport, tourism and the hotel industry. Overall, in Moldova, Wizz Air operations will support more than 100 jobs in related fields.
