In April, the works at the cargo terminal at Oradea Airport will start. According to the execution schedule, in the period 𝟮 - 𝟭𝟱 𝗺𝗮𝗶 the connection between the airport runway and the new runway intended for the access of the aircraft to the terminal platform will be made.
In view of these works, during this period, for two weeks, the air traffic from Oradea Airport will be suspended. Passengers who have purchased travel tickets for this period will receive re-routing options from the airline.
The cargo terminal will have a capacity for simultaneous processing of four category C aircraft, from the Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 family, but also having the possibility to serve higher category aircraft.
"We are witnessing an important moment for the development of the city of Oradea, both from an economic point of view and of the infrastructure that is being developed and that will transform Oradea into a logistics hub. The cargo terminal project is a major investment and we are happy to take the first steps to start the construction works ", said Răzvan Horga, Director of Oradea Airport.
