Philippine Airlines has ordered 54 from Airbus aircraft

Philippine Airlines (PAL), a full service airline in the Philippines, has placed a firm order for Airbus aircraft: 34 A321 Ceo, 10 A321 Neo and 10 A330-300. The aircraft are purchased as part of a larger fleet modernization project, and the first units will be delivered in 2013.

The Airbus A321 models will be operated on domestic and regional flights, but also to enhance alliances with partner operators. A330-300 aircraft will be used on longer regional routes, but also to new destinations in the Middle East and Australia.

The A321 is the largest and best-selling family member in the A320 series. Provides the lowest operating costs. These costs will be further reduced with the arrival of the new NEO engine, offering additional fuel savings of up to 15%. To date, over 8.500 of Airbus A320 aircraft have been ordered and more than 5200 are already in the fleet of 365 from operators around the world.

The A330 is very good for medium and long runs. Airbus has registered over 1.200 orders for different versions of the aircraft. Currently, over 90 operators have 900 fleet units. In addition, A330 is also available in VIP version and in several military transport / fuel tank versions.
