Poland and the Czech Republic ban Russian airlines

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced that Poland will close airspace for Russian airlines due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"I order the Council of Ministers to prepare a resolution to close Polish airspace Russian airlines "Morawiecki said on Facebook. Later in the day, government spokesman Piotr Mueller said the ban could take effect at midnight on Friday.

While Aeroflot will no longer be allowed to fly to / from Poland, LOT continues to schedule flights to Moscow Sheremetyevo and St. Petersburg Pulkovo.

Also, The Czech Republic will ban all Russian air operators from using its airspace, Ria Novosti reports. The move will be the second of its kind in the European Union, after Poland.

Previous, The United Kingdom has banned all Russian aircraft from flying to or above the country. The Russian Federation has responded by banning all aircraft in the United Kingdom on its territory.
