TAP Portugal in 2016: Over 11.7 million passengers carried

A significant increase was recorded on flights to / from destinations in the United States. In 2016, TAP Portugal started operating flights on Lisbon - Boston and Lisbon New York JFK routes, but also operated frequency increases to Miami and Newark. And the African market has enjoyed growth. TAP Portugal has transported approximately 800 000 of passengers between Portugal and destinations in Africa, increasing with 75 000 compared to 2015. The highest growth was recorded in December 2016, which is 36% compared to December 2015.
Following the same trend, the Brazilian market also enjoyed an increase with 5 percent. In 2016, the number of passengers carried by TAP to / from destinations in Brazil reached 1.4 million.
On the mainland - domestic flights, Madeira, the Azores and Europe - TAP Portugal carried 8.99 million passengers, in increase by 4% in front for the same period in 2015.
