Qatar Airways renounces Al Maha Airways project
Al Maha Airways was having trouble getting a transport license in Saudi Arabia!
Al Maha Airways, a subsidiary of Qatar Airways, was to be a regional low-cost carrier. The base was established at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia.

Initially, Al Maha Airways was to begin operations on 2014. But the plan was postponed until 2016. Qatar Airways had allocated 4 Airbus A320 aircraft to start this project.
But things didn't go according to plan, and Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, announced the closure of this airline. Al Maha Airways has failed to obtain the license in Saudi Arabia.
