Qatar Airways unveils first fleet aircraft in livery OneWorld (video)

The other major carriers in the Middle East - Etihad and Emirates - have not considered joining an alliance, but have reached major agreements with major operators. Emirates and Qantas have announced a global partnership and came into force in April 2013. Qatar Airways held a ceremony to mark its entry into OneWorld

During the day, Qatar Airways held a ceremony to mark its entry into OneWorld. This took place at the new Hamad International Airport, which will open soon and will be the new "home" for the Qatari air carrier.

During the ceremony, Qatar Airways presented the first aircraft in OneWorld livery, this being a Boeing 777-300ER, being the first to land at Hamad International Airport. In addition to the aircraft presented, other 3 will receive the oneworld livery, another 777 and two Airbus A320.


With the accession of the air operator Qatar Airways, the OneWorld network will be expanded with over 20 from destinations in five countries such as Ethiopia, Iran, Rwanda, Serbia and Tanzania.
