Qatar Airways will take possession of the first three superjumbo in June, an event that will coincide with the opening of the new Doha airport. Initially, the 3 A380 was supposed to be delivered in April, May and June, but Qatar Airways officials delayed the reception until the new airport was opened Hamad International (HIA), at the same time the reception will be held before the Farnborough aeronautical event.

Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, said the air carrier will participate in the Farnborough International Airshow 2014 with aircraft: Airbus A380, A320 equipped with Sharklet, A350 XWB in Qatar Airways livery and Airbus A350 (MSN4) and Boeing 787 Dreamlin.

Qatar Airways will operate the first A380 to London and Paris, but also to other crowded destinations where airports have reached saturated air traffic.
