Romania extends the state of alert by another 30 days, from August 11

On 5 August, CNSU proposed and the Romanian Government approved the extension of the alert state on the entire territory of Romania by another 30 days. 

The data announced in the last two days by the authorities indicate an increase in the number of cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, exceeding the threshold of 200 new cases per day.

Among the measures in force during the alert state are: maintaining the obligation to wear a protective mask in public / crowded / closed spaces such as markets, fairs, fairs, flea markets, public transport stations, commercial spaces, means of transport in common and at work or in other areas with potential for congestion.

The document adopted by CNSU does not propose changes compared to the provisions already in force. Sports competitions can be held in Romania with the participation of spectators up to the maximum capacity of the space, only with the participation of people who are vaccinated against SARS-CoV2 virus and for whom 10 days have passed since the completion of the complete vaccination schedule

Also, among the allowed events are the organization of weddings and baptisms, in closed spaces, such as, but not limited to, salons, cultural centers, restaurants, event halls / tents, with the participation of up to 300 people and with the provision of an area of ​​at least 2 sqm for each person, in the counties / localities where the cumulative incidence at 14 days is greater than 2 / 1.000 inhabitants and less than or equal to 3 / 1.000 inhabitants.
