Starting June 21, Spain will no longer require PCR tests upon entry into the country by air. As of June 21, 2021, citizens arriving from Romania to Spain by air do NOT have to present at entry to Spain: certificate attesting to complete vaccination against COVID-19, negative PCR or antigen test or post-Covid recovery certificate .

The obligation for all persons traveling to Spain, by air or sea, to fill in a health form before the trip via the Spain Travel Health (SpTH) application or the website remains valid. https://www.spth.gob.es/.

However, these measures do not apply to the Canary Islands. Romanian citizens who choose the Canary Islands (Tenerife / Grand Canaria / Fuerteventura) as their holiday destination must present a PCR test or an antigen test upon arrival at the hotel, tests performed no later than 72 hours before the time of accommodation. The test is mandatory for all people over 6 years of age.

Persons with a complete vaccination certificate or a medical certificate showing that they have had COVID-19 in the last 6 months are excluded from the test presentation. Further details in Spanish can be found at Canarias regional government website.
