In April, RYANAIR reports 99.6% air traffic down compared to the same period in 2019. And this is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
RYANAIR, the largest low-cost airline in EUROPE, has been severely affected by the new coronavirus crisis. In April 2020, RYANAIR carried about 40 passengers, 99.6% less than in April 2019, when it carried approximately 13 million passengers.
As of March 27, RYANAIR has retained over 90% of its fleet on the ground. Out of a total of over 450 aircraft, RYANAIR has maintained approximately 40 aircraft. And in April he operated 600 flights, many of them repatriation and medical.
There are no hopes for better in the coming months either. Due to the restrictions imposed by the governments of European countries, RYANAIR expects a small volume of flights and passengers, including in May and June.
We hope that RYANAIR will resume flights from / to Romania after May 15, 2020. According to the booking system, RYANAIR has activated most flights from Bucharest since May 22. But some routes will have to wait.
