21 years have passed since the most tragic terrorist attacks in US history, but also the entire planet. 21 years have passed since life on Earth changed. After the events that took place at 11 September 2001, everything changed.

As a result of these attacks, about 3000 people lost their lives. And America has lost a symbol of New York, the World Trade Center.

In the attacks of 11 September 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked 4 commercial aircraft. And today's article will be about them.

There are voices saying that no planes were at the base of the collapse of the 2 twin towers. Moreover, there are rumors that no aircraft remains were found in the debris pile resulting from the collapse of the World Trade Center. But we are not in a position to give verdicts. We take things as they were officially presented at the time.

What was I doing with 15 years ago? On that Tuesday, I remember being home. I was watching TV and enjoying the few days left until the start of a new school year. I was 17 years old, a rebellious age. When the transmissions about the attacks began, they passed me by, but I know that we did not realize their magnitude on humanity. I saw when the second plane entered the second tower of the World Trade Center. We didn't realize the seriousness of things and it seemed like everything came out of a Hollywood movie.

The irony of fate is that the country of special effects movies, shootings and explosions lives the darkest day of 2001 and was not a movie.

How did the terrorists manage to seize 4 commercial aircraft in a democratic country, which was and is considered the pillar of security on the planet? How did three of them manage to reach their targets? Hard to answer.

2 planes hit the World Trade Center towers: Boeing 767-223ER (N334AA) American Airlines from Boston to Los Angeles (flight 11); Boeing 767-200 (N612UA) United Airlines from Boston to Los Angeles (flight 175).

There were 81 passengers and 11 crew members + 5 terrorists aboard American Airlines. On the United flight were 56 passengers and 9 crew members + 5 terrorists. There were no survivors.

The other 2 planes targeted the Pentagon. The aircraft Boeing 757-223 (N644AA), which operated Flight 77 American Airlines (Washington - Los Angeles), hit the Pentagon building, causing major damage and the death of 189 people (64 people on the plane + 125 people on the ground). 106 people on the ground were also injured!

Eleventh plane, one Boeing 757 – 222 (N591UA) operating flight 93 United Airlines (Newark - San Francisco), no longer reaches the target. He crashed in a field near Diamond T. Mine in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. 44 people lost their lives, including terrorists.

As you can see, there were 4 hijacked planes on domestic flights. 2 from United Airlines and 2 from American Airlines. 2 of the Boeing 767-200 type and two of the Boeing 757-200 type.

21 years have passed, and humanity has gone crazy. The attacks continued in Europe. Airports were targeted (the case from Ataturk International Airport or the attack on Zaventem Brussels International Airport) and shopping centers. They were hit by terrorist attacks and various tourist destinations. Planes were shot down and we recall case MH17 (Boeing 777 Malaysia Airlines) or the collapse of the Russian Airbus 321 Metrojet aircraft in the Sinai Peninsula.

And the fight against terrorism continues!
