Despite the fact that Christmas is approaching, Spain will continue to maintain the rules of entry into force. The latest update shows that the country will continue to maintain entry restrictions against most travelers.

According to the new country category updates, which take effect today, 13 December, Spain will continue to require travelers from high-risk and high-risk areas to comply with strict entry restrictions.

Spain currently allows all passengers to enter completely vaccinated, including those in a country on the risk list, without imposing additional entry measures.

The list of countries at risk of COVID-19 continues to include countries and regions: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Slovakia. , Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Sweden.

It means that all travelers from all EU / Schengen countries mentioned above can travel to Spain as long as they meet all entry rules. People arriving in Spain from one of these 28 countries are allowed to enter as long as they have a valid vaccination certificate indicating that the holder has been completely immunized against the virus with one of the vaccines recognized by Spain.

Holders of a recovery certificate are also allowed to enter Spain in accordance with the rules provided, provided that the certificate is not older than 180 days.

People who have not been vaccinated and who have not been infected with the new coronavirus should test negative for a PCR or antigen test.

The PCR test must not be older than 72 hours before entering Spain, while the rapid antigen test must not be older than 48 hours upon arrival.

"Children under the age of 12 are not required to present such certificates or supporting documents." , stressed the Spanish authorities.
