All persons (except Swedish nationals) traveling from Norway, the United Kingdom or Denmark to Sweden are prohibited until 14 February 2021.

The measure also applies to persons in transit (the list of exceptions can be found below). Romanian citizens arriving from OTHER states have no entry restrictions in Sweden.

All foreign nationals arriving from the United Kingdom who fall into one of the categories exempted from the measure restricting access to Sweden, with the exception of transport staff, must take a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, carried out with maximum 72 hours prior to arrival in Sweden.

All unnecessary entries into the territory of Sweden have been suspended for citizens of non-member states of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Swiss Confederation.

The measure is valid until 31 March 2021 and does not include a group of 7 third countries. Details on the states and categories of people exempted can be found in the following page.

Persons arriving from Norway, the United Kingdom, South Africa or Brazil, exempted from the entry restriction, are urged to remain at home / residence for at least seven days, to avoid contact with other persons and to be tested immediately upon arrival in Sweden, with the test repeated after five days. All persons in the dwelling should remain in solitary confinement pending the answer to the test.
