In a press release released on 9 June, IATA (International Air Transport Association) recommended that the size of the cabin baggage to be reduced to 55 x 35 x 20 cm.

TAROM will analyze and take a decision on the IATA recommendations. The International Air Transport Association mentioned that the proposal is not mandatory, and every air operator is free to ignore or change it. In order for this IATA proposal to be implemented, the condition is that a representative number of member companies agree with it and there is the acceptance of the baggage manufacturers.

Currently, as a TAROM passenger, you have the right to carry in your cabin a hand luggage that should not exceed the following dimensions: 55x 40x 20cm (length x width x height). If you are traveling on an ATR 42 / ATR 72 aircraft, the luggage carried in the cabin must not exceed the dimensions of: 35x 30 x 20cm (length x width x height). These regulations apply only to flights operated by TAROM with their own aircraft. Read about luggage policy applied to TAROM!
