More and more airlines have considered equipping aircraft with Wifi. The Internet has become a necessary evil, an indispensable thing whether we are on land, on water, in the air, etc. Here is the carrier's line Etihad Airways to announce that all aircraft in the fleet will be equipped with Wi-Fi until the end of 2014.

On December 3, Etihad launched the "Etihad Wi-Fly" project and equipped the first aircraft with the Internet, an Airbus A330-200 that flew from Brisbane to Abu Dhabi via Singapore. It will also fly to Brussels, Dublin, Manchester, Munich, Frankfurt and Milan from Abu Dhabi.

The Internet service will be free for Diamond First Class passengers, and the rest will be charged a fee 13.95 dollars for one hour and 24.95 dollars for 24 hours. It remains to be seen if the investment will be successful. Qantas tested and was not very pleased with the results.

According to the plan, 10 Etihad aircraft will be equipped with Wi-Fi until the end of Q1 2013, with the remainder of the fleet being equipped by the end of 2014. At present, the Etihad Airways fleet consists of 61 aircraft.

Equipment is used Panasonic Avionics Global Communications Suite. One-aisle aircraft will be equipped with data and voice technologies, and wide-body aircraft will be equipped with special high-speed internet devices. Narrow-body aircraft are used on short and medium flights, so there is not much time on the net.
