On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, the first batch of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Dubai with an Emirates flight. Dubai's Supreme Crisis and Disaster Management Committee has announced a massive, free vaccination campaign in Dubai. With the arrival of the first doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, the vaccination campaign can begin on Wednesday, December 23rd.

The Boeing 777-300ER Emirates aircraft (A6-EGK) operated the flight EK-182, on the route Brussels - Dubai. Although it is a passenger plane, the cargo has been assigned to Emirates SkyCargo.

Immediately after landing in Dubai, the goods were unloaded in complete safety according to SkyPharma Emirates regulations.

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health and Prevention has announced the emergency authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine.

Meanwhile, the Fatwa Council in the United Arab Emirates has legalized the use of COVID-19 vaccines in line with Islamic Sharia's goals of protecting the human soul.

The Council called on communities around the world to work with their governments to ensure the success of vaccination actions and to comply with existing preventive and precautionary measures to stop the spread of the pandemic.
