The first Boeing 737 MAX 8 LOT Polish Airlines was delivered

On 2 December 2017, the first Boeing 737 MAX 8 LOT Polish Airlines was delivered. The Polish carrier is the first in Central and Eastern Europe with this type of aircraft in the fleet.

LOT Polish Airlines received the first Boeing 737 MAX 8 (SP-LVA), this being the first MAX delivered through the leasing company - Air Lease Corporation.

The plane took off on 1 December, at 15: 58, from Seattle's Boeing base. On December 2, he made a brief technical stopover for refueling at Reykjavik, departing for Warsaw at 09: 11. The first 737 MAX 8 LOT landed in Warsaw around 14: 00, on 2 December 2017.

As part of the fleet modernization program, LOT intends to take over 5 aircraft from the Boeing 737 MAX 8. These will be configured in 2 classes (Business Class and Economy Class), with 186 seats.

The 737 MAX offers the highest efficiency, reliability and comfort for passengers in the single-aisle aircraft market. MAX aircraft are powered by LEAP-1B International CFM engines.

The Boeing 737 MAX family has recorded the highest sales growth, registering orders for 4.000 over units ordered from 92 by customers worldwide.

In addition to the 6 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, LOT plans to grow its long-haul aircraft fleet with another 4 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. These will be received in 2018 and 2019.

The first 737 MAX 8 LOT will enter commercial service on 4 in December, with the first scheduled flights to London Heathrow. Following that Larnaca and Madrid are the next scheduled destinations to be served with this type of aircraft.
