Austrian Airlines increases the operational network with yet another exotic tourist destination, announcing the route Vienna - Havana, Cuba. The flights will be operated from 25 October to 2016, with a frequency of one flight per week, on Tuesdays. They will be honored with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
After 5 years break, Austrian Airlines chose to resume flights to a destination in the Caribbean. In 2010, the Austrian airline operated the last flight to the Caribbean, the destination being Punta Cana.
"2016 is the year in which Austria and Cuba will celebrate 70 years of bilateral relations. We are delighted because we will be able to connect Vienna directly with Havana, on the anniversary year ", explains Andreas Otto, Commercial Director of Austrian Airlines. "Launching the service to Cuba is another step in the consistent expansion of our long-haul route portfolio and we continue to focus on tourist destinations."
The flight duration from Vienna to Havana will be approximately 12 hours and 10 minutes. Tickets are available from dand the 799 EUR (round trip, including taxes and fees). Tickets can be purchased starting on Friday, 04.12.2015, from Austrian Airlines website or from partner agencies.
